Pre-requisites for “Advanced Topics in Herbal Medicine”
The “Three Weekend Intensive: Advanced Topics in Herbal Medicine” is a course that begins where most introductory programs end. This course assumes that students have completed either an introductory course in herbal medicine or done extensive independent study in order to have a working knowledge of several basic foundation skills for practicing herbal medicine. The term working knowledge means experience with actually applying these concepts while using herbs with oneself and other people. It goes beyond theoretical or book knowledge. Teen Scholarship for Learning Herbal Medicine
One of my goals as an instructor of herbal medicine is to encourage the next generation to learn and practice these skills. With that in mind, our longer programs and shorter workshops have a teen scholarship available. It works like this: When an adult parent pays full price for the course, one teen aged (14-17 yo) daughter or son attends the same course at no additional cost. Herbal Apprenticeship Program
The Herbal Apprenticeship Program is an individualized course of study to support the continued learning of herbalists with previous training and experience. Who Is It For? It is especially appropriate for past students who have completed the Foundations of Herbal Medicine course at our school. It is also open to anyone who has attended another school or has prior training and experience and wants to deepen and broaden their skill level. Our Classroom
The Forager's Path School of Botanical Studies is located on the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau and serves the communities of Flagstaff, Sedona, Cottonwood and the Verde Valley. The flora-rich landscapes stretch from the Upper Sonoran Desert, along the Verde River, up through the red rocks of Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon and into the lusher ponderosa forests of the Mogollon Rim and Flagstaff.
